7 Hidden Features of iOS 15

Apple is constantly rolling out with new updates for their devices. The latest one, iOS 15, is packed with new features and improvements. iOS app developers are well aware of these new features, and while it doesn’t include any earth-shattering new abilities, there are still a few hidden gems that you may not know about.

iOS 15: Hidden Features

Here are seven hidden features of iOS 15:

1. Keyboard Suggestions

QuickType keyboard suggestions now appear above the keyboard, instead of below it. This makes them easier to see and use. Previously, you had to tap and hold a suggested word to see its definition or use it in a sentence.

Now, you can just swipe up on a word to see its definition or use it in a sentence.

2. Screen Recording

You can now record your screen without having to install any additional software or jailbreak your device. Just go to Settings > Control Center > Customize Controls, and add the Screen Recording button to your Control Center.

3. AirDrop Passwords

You can now use AirDrop to share passwords with other people. Just select the password you want to share, and then tap the Share button. Be careful though, as AirDrop is not encrypted and could be intercepted by someone else.

4. Zoom in on Maps

When you’re looking at a map, you can now zoom in by tapping and holding with two fingers. This makes it easier to see detail in maps and navigate around them. No more frustration in struggling to view maps properly!

5. Improved Group Messaging

Group messages now have their own thread in the Messages app, making them easier to track and manage. You can also add or delete people from a group message, or leave the group altogether.

6. Night Shift for Third-Party Apps

iOS 15 now allows third-party apps to use Night Shift. This means that you can now use Night Shift in apps like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

7. Battery Usage by App

You can now see how much battery each app is using. Just go to Settings > Battery and scroll down to the Battery Usage section. This makes it easier to find and fix any apps that are draining your battery.

What to Expect in iOS 16

Apple is expected to release iOS 16 in September of this year. Some of the new features that are rumored to be included are a dark mode, split-screen multitasking for the iPad, and better integration with Macs. Additionally, there are likely to be bug fixes and performance improvements in iOS 16. So if you’re not happy with iOS 15, or you just want to see what’s new, keep an eye out for iOS 16 later this year!

These are just a few of the hidden features in iOS 15. There are plenty more to explore, so have fun with it! And be sure to keep an eye out for iOS 16 later this year. It’s bound to include even more great features!
